STAY AUTHENTIC WITH YOURSELF — EVEN IN LOVE.
Hi, I’m Christine…and I’m so excited you’re here!
I’ve been working in various capacities in the field of mental health, advocacy, & coaching for more than 25 years. I started my journey advocating for survivors of gender-based violence for various non-profit organizations in Washington DC and New York City.
Once I completed my Master’s of Social Work and obtained my clinical license, I earned a certification in Gestalt therapy, an experiential modality that focuses on integrating the mind, body, & spirit. I am also trained in Dr. Brené Brown's work, The Daring Way™, and continue to enhance my skills in various coaching and somatic approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, and Polyvagal Theory.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and couples in my private practice, facilitated groups, hosted online events, and developed programs and intensives. I am now feeling called to expand my reach by creating more in the online space with coaching programs and courses.
My mission with The Real Poetic Paradox, LLC is to offer my clients a deeper understanding of how early childhood experiences and conditioning impact queer adult relationships. I hope to bring greater awareness of what’s happening in the nervous system when we begin to feel unsafe in love. I want to help my clients understand that secure love does not mean never getting triggered. It means learning how to repair. Learning how to return. Learning how not to abandon yourself or each other every time fear gets activated. Security is not perfection. It’s the growing capacity to stay.
I am deeply grateful for the love I have received and given throughout my life in romantic partnerships. I am also someone who has loved deeply and lost myself in relationships. For years, I believed love meant intensity, devotion, and giving more.
I am always deeply humbled and grateful to hold space for my clients as they navigate their healing journeys. The core of my approach is rooted in the belief that love, compassion, and authenticity are essential to living a full life. The paradoxes of longing and independence, tenderness and self-protection, and desire and fear offer us insight into these complex dynamics, including how identity and expression intersect, which make our lived experiences so rich. As I embrace this next chapter, I offer support, guidance, compassion, and wisdom.
